The Love of Money is the root of all evil, so says the holy bible. This has become evidently true with recent happenings in our society today, with series of kidnapping and all sort of crimes committed by the young generation of Nigerian Youths who ordinarily are meant to be worthy role models. Yesterday Afternoon,I got different disturbing messages from Houdegbe North American University Benin Republic(HNAUB) about the case of a guy who was arrested for money rituals around 3pm yesterday. The guy had turned a fellow female student to a snake using juju powers. Below is how the Narrator bares it all:
The guys are 100 Level Business Administration Students of my school(Houdegbe North American University Benin Republic), they’re freshers who wants quick money and wants to oppress. The ritual had already been done and from the confession of the guy who was arrested after his accomplice had fled, they snake was supposed to start producing money for them yesterday before they were caught and the other guy bolted. So you understand that he was just unlucky to have been caught cause he didn’t do it alone, they were two or more self.
Heard they travelled down to Port Novo for the rituals according to the arrested guy, pictures of two girls were also found in the box which contained the snake. The Snake in the box is actually one of the girls while the second girl’s head had already been chopped off quoting the guy that was arrested
. It was a girl that stays in the same compound with them that noticed their strange movements and reported to the police, some of their girlfriends have actually been declared missing for some days now but no one ever imagined that they could have been used for money rituals until today(yesterday). Everyone had thought the girls had done their “crayfish waka” as usual, not knowing that the girls have been used for rituals.”

After listening to all that was naratted to me, I felt terribly bad and imagined what would be the fate of the parents and families of the girls. Is this how bad our youths have been so pollutted? Imagining the fact that these guys are actually freshers in the University, also checking from another angle is about the girls involved. Could it have been Possible that they never suspected these guys all along or were they so blinded by the money and flamboyant lifestyle they were enjoying with the guys?
