Just hearing this for the first time and probably thinking how true this could be, we decided to attend the annual EASTER SHOP FOR FREE organised by the Kings assembly Church live at the Government Park, Stadium Road, PH city.
The concept was to emulate our lord Jesus Christ, since he could feed five thousand men, why? can't they do the same as a church? Saturday 19th of April 2014, a great multitude of people
gathered at the park, most of which expected to get at least one item back home without paying a dime. Items available for shopping ranged from Washing Machines to baby items....
The renowned Gospel singer FRANK EDWARDS graced the pulpit during the brief service, as the HEAD PASTOR was sharing the Word with the crowd there came shower of blessings literally, the rain was heavy and incessant and put an end to the impressive crowd control, some hours later a stampede arose as some impatient people couldn't wait to get their hands on the free items since the rain refused to stop.
This pandemonium went on for an hour as some children and adults where hurt in the process.....wasn't a cool sight to behold....
Well the rest of us who couldn't hustle under the merciless rain where entertained by the tireless and talented Gospel Dance group GOD'S GENERALS....
The intent of the church was pure but the impatience and greed of some people ruined the whole Easter package. Be advised: As a mother if you are gonna turn up again for next year's Easter shop for free, please leave your babies and kids at home.. to avoid your child from being shopped *lol*. remain blessed all.
